Apple Announces Expanded Language Support for Redesigned Health App

Expanded Language Support and Core Features

Apple has announced that its redesigned Health app is expanding language support to global English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, and Vietnamese. According to the Apple Newsroom, this update brings powerful and personalized health insights to millions of individuals worldwide.

Built with Apple Intelligence at its core, the Health app dynamically adapts to an individual's health metrics across compatible iPhone and iPad models. The system is designed to provide comprehensive views of long-term wellbeing while securely and privately protecting user data at every step.

New Insights and Tailored Recommendations

The updated application experience introduces a new Insights tab that surfaces timely and holistic summaries throughout the day. These summaries cover heart, sleep, readiness, fitness, vitals, and cycle tracking data.

Additionally, a dedicated For You section delivers intelligent recommendations tailored to a user's daily habits. For instance, the app can provide practical guidance to help adjust a wind-down routine following consecutive nights of interrupted sleep. The platform also pairs this data with dynamic health content, offering educational videos and articles featuring clinical experts.

Longevity Tracking and Health Age

To help users better understand their overall health trajectory, the update includes a new Longevity tab. This feature analyzes longitudinal metrics spanning heart health, sleep, mental wellbeing, movement, metabolic health, hearing, and nutrition.

Central to the Longevity tab is the Health Age feature. This metric translates data from an Apple Watch—including VO2 max, resting heart rate, sleep, and heart rate variability—into a figure that reflects how a user's body is tracking relative to their chronological age. Users can also incorporate clinical laboratory data, such as A1c and LDL cholesterol levels, to further enrich their long-term health picture.

At-Home Movement Evaluations

The redesigned app introduces at-home movement evaluations designed to make physical assessments accessible without requiring specialized equipment. By utilizing an iPhone camera and an Apple Watch, users can measure flexibility, strength, balance, movement mechanics, and VO2 max with real-time audio and visual feedback.

Powered by on-device vision-based artificial intelligence models and developed alongside clinical experts, the experience operates entirely on the device. Apple notes that no video is ever recorded, stored, or shared during these evaluations.

Availability and System Requirements

The redesigned Health app is available starting today in the iOS 27.3 developer beta and will roll out as a free software update later this year. Apple plans to continue expanding language support for the application in the future.

The experience is available on compatible devices with the latest software. More details regarding system requirements, device capabilities, and capabilities tied to artificial intelligence features can be found by visiting apple.com.
