Siri AI Expands to New Languages With 27.2 Software Updates

Siri AI Language Expansion Details

Apple has announced that Siri AI — an entirely new version of Siri designed to be more capable, conversational, and personal — is officially expanding to additional languages. According to the [Apple Newsroom](https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2026/10/siri-ai-is-available-in-more-languages-starting-today/) update released today, the feature is now available in French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

The language expansion arrives alongside the rollout of the 27.2 software updates. This completely reimagined assistant aims to provide a more powerful and personal user experience while maintaining privacy standards by building directly on Apple Intelligence.

Capabilities and System Integration

Built on Apple Intelligence, Siri AI can draw on personal context understanding to help users find what they need in the moment across messages, emails, photos, and more. With expanded systemwide app actions, users can accomplish complex tasks such as drafting emails from scratch or editing and sharing photo collections seamlessly.

Furthermore, the assistant features onscreen awareness, allowing it to answer questions or execute actions based directly on the content currently displayed on the user's screen. It can also leverage broad world knowledge to retrieve up-to-date information on virtually any topic.

Beta Availability and System Requirements

Siri AI is currently available in beta across iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, macOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2, and visionOS 27.2. To utilize the features, users must have an Apple Intelligence-enabled device set to a supported language.

Apple notes that some features and devices may not be available in all regions or languages. Additionally, Siri AI is not available for users under the age of 13, and it is currently unavailable in the European Union on iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS, though Apple states it is working constructively with the EU to find a path forward.

Usage Limits and Future Outlook

Certain Apple Intelligence features that rely on server-side models are subject to daily usage limits. This includes Siri AI, intelligent photo editing tools, Image Playground, and AFM 3 Cloud models in Shortcuts.

These daily limits can vary depending on the specific feature, request complexity, system demand, and system policies. According to official documentation available at [support.apple.com/en-us/148587](https://support.apple.com/en-us/148587), expanded access to these server-side features will be offered for a fee in the future, and their use remains subject to the Apple Intelligence terms and conditions.

Upcoming Language Additions

Apple has confirmed that the rollout will not stop with today's 27.2 updates. Language support for Siri AI is scheduled to continue expanding throughout the remainder of the year.

Additional language availability is officially slated to arrive for Chinese (traditional), Norwegian, Turkish, and Vietnamese before the end of the year, bringing the advanced assistant capabilities to even more global users.
