OpenAI is rolling out a major update to its conversational platform, bringing [GPT-6] to all tiers of ChatGPT alongside a new capability called Intelligent UI. According to reports from [Engadget], the company has designed this feature to allow the chatbot to return responses quickly with fully interactive user interfaces tailored directly to user queries.
The underlying technology behind the rollout [come with a capability] to compose more visual responses within the chatbot itself. Based on what users ask, replies can now incorporate graphics, tappable buttons, forms, charts, and other interactive experiences instead of relying purely on standard text formats.
Interactive Features and Use Cases
The new visual capabilities change how users can interact with information inside ChatGPT. For example, if someone asks the assistant to help plan a dinner party, the response could include an interactive table showing the exact amount of ingredients required based on the number of attending guests. The interface can also feature checklists and follow-up forms to collect more detailed specifications.
OpenAI notes that these interactive responses help users understand complex topics more easily through visual aids. Users can also create specialized tools tailored to their needs, such as financial calculators for investments or bill-splitting utilities, and even recreate classic retro games like Snake directly within the chat window.
Enhanced Reasoning and Response Delivery
To reduce wait times for complex operations, OpenAI equipped the model with the ability to answer while it is still processing. This diverges from other reasoning models that typically wait to finalize their complete output before displaying any text. Additionally, the system is trained to compose responses across multiple sequential messages, where each message contributes useful information to build a cohesive final output.
If a traditional text format remains more appropriate for a specific query, the model retains the autonomy to omit additional visuals. OpenAI stated that instead of forcing every question into a uniform conversational structure, the system successfully combines user interface elements, data, and actions to establish entirely new ways of exploring information.
Global Rollout and Tier Distribution
The deployment of GPT-6 with Intelligent UI has already commenced for ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers globally. Paid subscription tiers harness the performance of GPT-6 Sol. Meanwhile, users utilizing Free or low-cost Go accounts gain access to the updated infrastructure with the GPT-6 Luna model, which offers a different level of capability compared to the Sol variant.
