OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Intelligent UI Update with GPT-6
OpenAI has introduced a major new Intelligent UI feature for ChatGPT, bringing interactive visuals, charts, and buttons directly into conversation responses alongside the rollout of GPT-6.

Introduction to ChatGPT Intelligent UI
OpenAI is launching a new Intelligent UI feature in ChatGPT that allows the chatbot to answer your questions with interactive visuals. This capability is part of a broader [update, which is rolling out to all users](https://openai.com/index/gpt-6-for-everyone/) alongside the deployment of GPT-6. The new interface gives ChatGPT the ability to combine traditional text responses with rich media, including diagrams, charts, forms, tappable buttons, and more.
According to [a blog post explaining the change](https://openai.com/index/gpt-6-for-everyone/), OpenAI trained GPT-6 to understand when it should generate interactive visuals instead of plain text, as well as how to format those elements properly inside a response. For example, asking ChatGPT about the design of a seven-speed bicycle might prompt it to display a detailed diagram complete with interactive buttons that highlight different parts.
Interactive Visuals and Generated Tools
The integration of Intelligent UI allows ChatGPT to handle dynamic use cases that extend far beyond standard conversational text. [Another shows how ChatGPT](https://x.com/OpenAI/status/2107895000642294250?s=20) can teach users how to play Mahjong by generating visual representations of each tile and organizing them into scrollable categories.
Furthermore, users can prompt ChatGPT to build custom tools on the fly for various tasks. Examples include a retirement savings calculator, a retro game, or a bill splitter. Once requested, the chatbot will generate the functional tool inline with its response right inside the active conversation window.
The Evolution of GPT-6 Models
While OpenAI announced its [first GPT-6 models](https://www.theverge.com/ai-artificial-intelligence/989601/openai-gpt-6-astra-release) last month, the company is now actively bringing [the Sol and Luna versions](https://www.theverge.com/ai-artificial-intelligence/998997/openai-launches-faster-and-more-efficient-gpt-6-sol-and-luna-models) directly into the ChatGPT experience.
Beyond powering the new Intelligent UI capabilities, OpenAI reports that the updated GPT-6 architecture allows ChatGPT to perform significantly better web searches. It can also provide quicker, partial answers to users while simultaneously gathering background information to complete the query.
Rollout Schedule and Tier Availability
OpenAI has outlined a structured rollout plan for GPT-6 with Intelligent UI across its various subscriber tiers. The feature is rolling out globally to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users starting today, with expansion planned for Go and free tier users on Thursday.
Under this deployment strategy, higher-tier subscribers gain access to the mid-range GPT-6 Sol model, while Go and free tier users will utilize the more efficient GPT-6 Luna variant. Additionally, OpenAI notes that the new GPT-6 architecture showed stronger resistance to attempts to bypass its safety training.
