Firefox Enters Arena Partnership With AEG in Berlin

Firefox is teaming up with AEG and taking to the main stage at Berlin’s biggest and best indoor arenas. Starting this October, as the indoor music scene heats up and the basketball and ice hockey seasons are in full swing, fans flocking to the Uber Arena, Uber Eats Music Hall, and Uber Platz will see Firefox highly visible around the venue. They may even bump into our very own mascot, Kit, who will be on hand to help them skip the main queues courtesy of Firefox.

The collaboration marks a significant physical activation for the browser. According to the announcement published on the Mozilla Blog, the partnership bridges the gap between online planning and real-world entertainment experiences for local visitors and international travelers alike in Germany's capital.

Bridging Digital Discovery and Real-World Events

The organizers behind the initiative understand that the experiences people care about often begin online. The internet serves as the primary gateway to how individuals discover, plan, and navigate their way to concerts, sports events, and nights out before they happen in real life.

By establishing a physical presence at Berlin's premier entertainment destinations, the project aims to streamline every step of that journey. Starting right at the entrance doors, the initiative seeks to simplify event attendance for loyal users of the platform.

The Firefox Fast Lane Experience

Attendees who already have Firefox downloaded on their mobile phones will gain access to a dedicated Firefox Fast Lane. This specialized queue is designed to allow visitors to bypass the main lines at the Uber Arena entirely.

To ensure the smoothest possible entry process for everyone, a convenient QR code for downloading the browser will also be made available directly at the Fast Lane location for any visitors looking to secure quick access on the spot.

Executive Perspectives on the Berlin Launch

Commenting on the strategic collaboration, John Solomon, Mozilla-Firefox Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized the intentional nature of the audience. People who use the browser tend to choose things deliberately, from their software to their music and nights out.

Solomon noted that the partnership was specifically designed with those users in mind. While most web browsers constantly compete for more of your time online, this initiative takes a different approach by wanting users to reach the live show faster. Berlin was chosen as the starting point because the venue sits right across the river from the local office.

Core Values Brought to the Stage

The organizing teams expressed great excitement about bringing foundational brand values directly to Berlin’s premier entertainment venues. The physical activation highlights principles of choice, control, and an overall better experience tailored to moments that people genuinely care about enjoying.

As the indoor music, basketball, and ice hockey seasons hit full stride this October, visitors heading to Uber Platz can expect to experience these newly introduced perks firsthand.
