Wallhack M-001 Review: Magnesium Gaming Mouse
The Wallhack M-001 gaming mouse combines a rigid magnesium shell with a unique spring-loaded hot-swappable battery design and a distinctive profile.

Design and Ergonomic Profile
The Wallhack M-001 introduces a standard right-handed, symmetrical design characterized by identical left and right sides alongside thumb buttons exclusively on the left. Measuring 120 millimeters in length, the M-001 is slightly shorter than contemporary devices such as the Razer Viper V4 Pro, while maintaining comparable overall width and height dimensions.
The primary design distinction lies in the mouse's profile, featuring a notably lower front end paired with a prominent rear hump. This configuration creates an angled shape that positions the hand at an aggressive forward angle during palm grip usage. While size and shape preferences remain subjective, comparative sizing can be evaluated across various platforms including eloshapes.
Magnesium Shell Construction
Constructed with a magnesium shell, the M-001 provides substantial rigidity and a cool tactile finish compared to traditional plastic alternatives. Despite utilizing metal, the device weighs 53.6 grams. While heavier than ultra-lightweight alternatives like the 36-gram Sabre V2 Pro Ultralight, the magnesium chassis delivers a solid structure devoid of flexibility.
Unlike other magnesium-shelled mice that incorporate cutouts or holes—such as the AngryMiao Infinity .97 or Corsair’s magnesium-shelled Sabre—the M-001 utilizes a fully solid upper shell. This design choice prevents dust and debris accumulation while offering a consistent surface across multiple grip styles.
Exposed PCB and Structural Engineering
Examining the underside of the Wallhack M-001 reveals an atypical absence of a traditional bottom shell. Instead, a thin frame around the circumference houses six feet, leaving an open central chasm that exposes the printed circuit board and battery directly.
The PCB functions beyond standard internal routing, acting as a primary structural component that provides rigidity to the entire assembly. This structural integration mirrors engineering techniques utilized in high-performance automotive design, lending both weight-savings and structural support to the gaming peripheral.
Hot-Swappable Battery and Connectivity
Positioned directly behind the PCB is a hot-swappable battery system utilizing a custom spring-loaded ejector mechanism similar to an SD card or gaming cartridge format. Users can press the battery to lock it securely into place or press it again to eject it seamlessly.
Because the hot-swappable configuration provides continuous power rotation, Wallhack has removed the traditional USB-C port from the mouse entirely. The device operates exclusively as a 2.4G wireless mouse without direct wired charging capabilities, relying instead on the bundled charging ecosystem.
