Apple has officially announced new and expanded partnerships with American companies supplying critical materials and components for the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro.

Expanding U.S. Partnerships for the Latest iPhone Lineup
Apple has officially [announced](https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2026/07/apple-to-increase-spend-with-broadcom-to-produce-billions-more-us-chips/) new and expanded partnerships with American companies tasked with supplying critical materials and components for the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro. Through its American Manufacturing Program (AMP), Apple is working alongside domestic suppliers in more than a dozen states as part of its ongoing commitment to U.S. manufacturing and innovation. Further details are available from Apple Newsroom in the original source material.
According to Apple, the company works with suppliers across all 50 states and supports over 450,000 American jobs. The American Manufacturing Program was launched to bring even more advanced manufacturing and critical component production to the United States under a broader four-year, $600 billion commitment.

Perryman Company and Qnity Electronics Join the Lineup
As part of the latest update, Apple is partnering with Perryman Company, a Pennsylvania-based titanium producer, to supply titanium for Apple products, including the iPhone Duo. Apple is committing up to $100 million over the next three years with Perryman, a family-owned business and global leader in specialty titanium products. At its Houston, Pennsylvania site, Perryman melts, forges, and rolls titanium with a minimum of 80 percent recycled content.
In addition, Apple is expanding its partnership with Qnity Electronics, headquartered in Delaware. Qnity will produce advanced films essential to the new variable aperture camera system featured on the iPhone 18 Pro. This camera system sits at the heart of the new 48MP Fusion Main camera, which provides light and depth control powered by on-device intelligence.

Broadening the Domestic Supply Chain Footprint
The American Manufacturing Program encompasses nearly 100 components used in the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro. Broadcom is expanding and modernizing its Fort Collins, Colorado facility under a $1.5 billion capital investment, producing advanced radio frequency components designed to yield more than 15 billion U.S.-made chips.
Corning, an Apple partner since the original iPhone in 2007, produces specialty glass including Ceramic Shield at its Harrodsburg, Kentucky facility. By the end of 2026, all cover glass for the iPhone — including the iPhone Duo — and the Apple Watch sold worldwide will be produced at this location.

Scaling Advanced Silicon and Packaging
Coherent continues its multiyear agreement supplying new vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser technology from its Sherman, Texas facility. This technology powers Face ID and other key features across the iPhone and iPad, including the redesigned Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Meanwhile, TSMC's Arizona fab is scaling production of advanced chips used across the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, targeting more than 100 million chips produced for Apple in 2026. Construction on the north campus continues to progress as the partnership grows.
Amkor Technology broke ground on its high-volume packaging and test facility in Peoria, Arizona, with Apple listed as one of the facility's first customers. The project is expected to support a workforce of more than 3,500 local hires across its initial phases.

Environmental Goals and Workforce Training
The expanded partnerships also align with Apple's goal to achieve carbon neutrality across its entire footprint by 2030, requiring direct suppliers to power their manufacturing with renewable energy by the end of the decade. These efforts coincide with increased utilization of recycled materials.
Apple's domestic manufacturing strategy is further supported by the company's Advanced Manufacturing Center in Houston, Texas. Inside this learning site, Apple engineers train small- and medium-sized businesses, reinforcing the expanding ecosystem of American technology and manufacturing partners.
