Intel Raptor Lake CPUs Drop to All-Time Low Prices

Intel's 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh processors are finally receiving significant discounts and hitting all-time lows as inventory seemingly stabilizes.

Intel Raptor Lake CPUs Drop to All-Time Low Prices

Raptor Lake Refresh Prices Drop During Prime Big Deals Day

Intel's Raptor Lake Refresh, also known as 14th Gen, CPUs have proven tough to recommend over the past several months. Although they remained readily available online, they rarely went on sale and often sold above the price points seen throughout the majority of last year. As Amazon's Big Deal Days event kicks off, these chips are finally seeing better prices, with several models hitting all-time lows.

Raptor Lake Refresh has continued to serve as a relevant platform as rising DDR5 costs push overall PC building expenses higher. Intel's 14th Gen processors support both DDR4 and DDR5 memory, provided users have a compatible motherboard, creating an accessible upgrade path for builders without existing DDR5 hardware. However, builders using DDR4 memory should keep in mind that performance can drop by about 13% in gaming workloads.

Strategy and Inventory Stabilization

Earlier this year, Intel's Robert Hallock noted that Raptor Lake remains a core component of the company's strategy for years to come, signaling a coming stabilization in both inventory and pricing. The current sales across the main Raptor Lake Refresh stack appear to reflect that shift in action, with popular chips like the Core i7-14700KF reaching their lowest prices ever.

Despite the introduction of newer architectures, Intel's 14th Gen processors maintain their position as fast gaming options. The Core i9-14900K outperforms newer alternatives in certain gaming benchmarks, while newer Arrow Lake CPUs tend to be faster in general application workloads.

Core i9-14900KF and Core i9-14900K Discounts

The Intel Core i9-14900KF features a fully overclocked 24-core design split into eight performance cores and 16 efficiency cores, maintaining its status as a top choice for a new gaming system. Both the Core i9-14900K and the KF variant are currently discounted, but the KF version—which lacks integrated graphics—presents a particularly strong value.

The Core i9-14900KF has dropped to its lowest price ever at $369.99, dipping below last year's low of around $391. For buyers who require integrated graphics, the standard Core i9-14900K is also available on sale for $400. Shoppers purchasing these processors are advised to update their motherboards to the latest BIOS to apply Intel's Raptor Lake degradation mitigations.

Core i7-14700KF Hits All-Time Low

Further down the stack, the Core i7-14700KF has reached an all-time low price of $279.99, while the standard Core i7-14700K is discounted to $299.99. This segment represents a performance sweet spot for Intel's Raptor Lake Refresh lineup, delivering roughly 97% of the gaming performance offered by the Core i9-14900K at a significantly lower price point.

This performance profile is driven by the chip's core architecture. The Core i7-14700K features 20 total cores, including the same eight performance cores found in the Core i9 models, allowing for comparable performance in applications that rely primarily on performance cores. An additional 12 efficiency cores assist during heavily threaded workloads.

Core i5 Processor Pricing and Availability

While the Core i5-14600KF is not officially on sale, its current selling price of $239.99 is still lower than the rates observed over the preceding months. Further down the product stack, the Core i5-14400F is seeing a rare discount during the promotional event.

The Core i5-14400F is a 10-core processor featuring six performance cores and four efficiency cores, reaching clock speeds up to 4.7 GHz for LGA 1700 motherboards. Although it previously dropped as low as $130, it has hovered around $200 for most of 2026, making its current promotional pricing an improvement over the past year's average.

Market observers note that these widespread price reductions may indicate proper inventory stabilization for the Raptor Lake Refresh family rather than a temporary clearance event. Buyers looking to explore current hardware promotions can also Check out these deals at Newegg for additional offers.
