A display for entertainment and home control

Apple says HomeView is designed to become a central device in the home, bringing entertainment, communication, and smart-home management together. The 7-inch Liquid Retina display can be used to play music, make FaceTime calls, monitor the home, and trigger hands-free automations through voice control.

The device can sit on a tabletop or be mounted on a wall, allowing it to fit locations such as a kitchen counter, nightstand, entryway, or hallway. Apple says privacy and security are central to the product, with the interface designed to support both shared household activities and individual use.

Personalized for people in the household

HomeView recognizes up to six people by their faces and provides a personalized experience for each user, according to Apple. Each person can have an individual Home Screen with their own apps and widgets, while personal content in Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, Reminders, and Find My remains separate from other household members.

The system also supports shared photo albums and music that can be enjoyed by the household, including guests. Apple describes this combination as a way for HomeView to function as a common screen while still adapting to the person standing in front of it.

Siri AI is at the center

HomeView features Siri AI, which Apple describes as a new version of Siri powered by the next generation of Apple Intelligence and advanced Apple silicon. The company says the assistant is more capable and conversational, with broad world knowledge, personal context understanding, and onscreen awareness.

With a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, Siri AI can draw on information from apps such as Messages and Calendar, as well as Apple Music playlists, to provide more personalized responses and take action across apps. Apple says users can also customize Siri's expressiveness and speaking pace on a paired device, with those settings carrying over to HomeView.

Conversations that begin on HomeView can continue in the Siri app, with iCloud privately syncing conversation history across products including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro. Apple says people without an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad can still use Siri AI's world knowledge, natural conversations, and improved music discovery.

Designed for flexible viewing

The tabletop model uses an aluminum design with a 7-inch Liquid Retina display connected to a domed speaker base by a stainless steel hinge. The hinge allows the screen to tilt for viewing at different tabletop heights, while True Tone and other adaptive display technologies respond to changing light conditions.

Apple says automatic brightness ranges from 500 nits for visibility in a sunlit room to 0.3 nits for use on a nightstand. The interface also adjusts according to the user's distance, presenting simpler information from across the room and more detail as the user moves closer.

HomeView will be offered in silver, starlight, rose pink, and space gray, with a matching cable for each color. A separate wall-mounted model will come in space gray and silver and will use one of three purpose-built mounts from Schneider Home. The available options include a USB-C wall connector and an AC wired mount, while a Power Mount PoE Wired option is planned for early 2027.

Pre-orders and availability

Customers in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States can pre-order both HomeView models from the Apple Store today. The U.S. price is $299 for either model, and Apple says both versions will be available in those countries beginning November 13.

Customers in Singapore can pre-order beginning October 15 at 9 a.m. Singapore time, with availability also starting November 13. In South Africa, pre-orders will be handled through Apple Authorized Resellers, with availability beginning on the same date.

Apple says HomeView is not currently available for sale in the European Union because Siri AI is unavailable in iOS there. The company said it is working with the EU to find a path forward. Siri AI on HomeView will initially be available in English in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and the United Kingdom, while Canadian French support is planned through a free software update.
