doxx.net Secures $38M to Launch Agentic Defined Networking Platform
Miami-based technology firm doxx.net has announced a $38 million Series A funding round alongside the open beta launch of its Agentic Defined Networking (ADN) platform, aimed at protecting AI agents and human users from online misadventures.

Series A Funding and Leadership
Miami, Florida-based doxx.net has successfully raised $38 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with additional participation from Animo Ventures and Focal.vc. Operating across six continents, the firm was founded in 2025 by serial founder and hacker-at-heart Barrett Lyon. The official announcement of the funding coincides with the open beta release of the company's flagship infrastructure platform.
Addressing Agentic AI Security Risks
As artificial intelligence systems evolve, they increasingly browse the internet, communicate, access various services, and execute actions on behalf of their human users. However, these autonomous entities cannot always distinguish between safe information and actions and potentially harmful ones while operating with their users' accounts and credentials. This creates significant security challenges, which the newly unveiled Agentic Defined Networking (ADN) platform seeks to resolve by providing a controlled operational environment with defined connectivity.
Architecture Built on Privacy Principles
According to the company, traditional privacy offerings often rely on rented infrastructure where traffic passes through third-party intermediaries that can create surveillance risks or censorship vulnerabilities. In contrast, the ADN platform relies on a parallel, private networking framework designed to let human users and AI agents connect without central intermediary servers. The infrastructure delivers serverless peer-to-peer communication, end-to-end messaging, file transfers, and native applications spanning iOS, macOS, Android, Windows, and Linux.
Custom Naming Systems and DNS Protection
The platform incorporates a dedicated naming ecosystem featuring 196 custom top-level domains (TLDs) and its own certificate authority, allowing networks to resolve domains independently of the public internet. Furthermore, the system supplies DNS-level threat protection to block malware, phishing sites, and emerging malicious destinations prior to connection. The company reports that its closed beta phase, which began in December 2025, has already blocked over 38 million security threats.
Industry Perspective on Autonomous Security
The emergence of specialized security protocols for autonomous software highlights a growing sector within cybersecurity, joining other recent market movements such as Reco Raises $55 Million for Agentic Security and Rig Security Emerges From Stealth With $12M to Tackle Agentic AI Identity Risks. Industry leaders note that foundational architectural changes are necessary to secure autonomous agents effectively. Joel De La Garza, partner at Andreessen Horowitz and board member at doxx.net, noted that the internet was not originally designed for privacy, praising the platform for delivering security capabilities derived from first principles.
