Apple Music 7.0 for Android Rolls Out with Liquid Glass Redesign
Following a month of beta testing, Apple Music 7.0 is now rolling out to Android users globally via the Play Store, featuring a refreshed aesthetic and modernized navigation elements.

Rollout and Visual Refresh
Apple Music 7.0 is officially rolling out to Android devices following a month of beta testing. This major update introduces a brand new Liquid Glass redesign alongside an updated icon for the streaming service. The new version matches iOS 27 after Apple Music for Android switched to a new versioning system that aligns with iOS, and the update is now widely available via the Play Store.
The visual changes begin right at the icon level. The previous red background has been replaced by a tweaked music note icon rendered in either black or white, depending on the active device theme. Additionally, the broader accent color throughout the entire Apple Music experience has been switched to blue.
Interface and Navigation Updates
Navigation elements have received substantial layout revisions in version 7.0. The app now incorporates a floating bottom bar that allows users to view content positioned above, below, and to the sides. This element features a subtle amount of translucency, primarily enabling users to make out solid colors underneath the navigation area.
The mini-player has been separated from this structure, receiving the same design treatment while no longer being docked directly to the bottom bar. However, unlike the iOS counterpart, scrolling within the Android application does not collapse the bottom bar into a more compact version. Furthermore, the update implements a modern, edge-to-edge design for Android's system status and navigation bars.
Top Bars and Library Improvements
Top bars across the interface have also been redesigned. The page title and overflow menu now sit comfortably on the same line. Meanwhile, the three-dot icons are no longer styled in red and have instead been repositioned inside neat circular containers.
The Library tab experiences a notable update as well, incorporating helpful organizational options. Specifically, "Edit Pins" and "Edit Categories" have now been integrated directly into the three-dot menu for easier access.
Artist Pages and Settings
Artist pages have undergone a thorough redesign process in version 7.0. Backgrounds are now dynamically themed based on the corresponding cover image. Aligning with the iOS design language, these pages feature a prominent play button alongside an information page, while the share control has been neatly tucked into the top-right corner.
The Settings page has similarly been modernized to offer better grouping of options. Interestingly, the Now Playing screen does not feature any major modifications, mirroring the fact that it did not receive any large-scale updates on the iOS platform.
