New Discount Cuts Price of High-End Desktop
Pre-built gaming desktop computers continue to offer notable value for consumers, particularly when seasonal or promotional discounts apply. Tech enthusiasts looking for a 4K-capable system can currently pick up this ABS Stratos II Ruby gaming PC for $2,549.99 right now at Newegg, representing a $450 savings off its list price. Further details are available from Tom's Hardware in the original source material.
The ABS brand, which is owned and distributed by retailer Newegg, occupies a high-tier performance category with this particular configuration. By combining a top-tier gaming processor with a current-generation graphics card, the machine is designed to deliver high frame rates across demanding software titles for years to come.
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Processor Details
At the heart of the system is the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor. This eight-core processor utilizes AMD's 3D V-cache technology, expanding the available L3 cache capacity to 96MB. By increasing cache size, the processor relies less frequently on slower system memory, which effectively reduces latency and delivers more stable frame rates during intensive gaming sessions.
Although newer architectures continue to evolve, the 9800X3D remains a leading recommendation for mainstream and enthusiast gamers alike. According to hardware evaluations, there is currently no direct alternative from Intel that consistently matches the gaming efficiency of AMD's X3D architecture.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Graphics Capabilities
Complementing the processor is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. Based on Nvidia's Blackwell architecture, this GPU features 8,960 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 video memory. The configuration is engineered to handle 1440p and 4K resolutions smoothly, surpassing traditional 1080p performance limitations.
The graphics card also supports modern Nvidia technologies, including DLSS with multi-frame generation. With 16GB of VRAM available, users have adequate overhead for running current-generation titles at demanding graphical presets, though heavy ray tracing workloads at 4K resolution may still require minor settings adjustments.
Memory, Storage, and Cooling Specifications
Beyond the core processing units, the desktop avoids performance bottlenecks in its supporting hardware. The system includes 32GB of G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo RGB DDR5 memory configured across two 16GB modules running at speeds of 6,000 MT/s.
Storage is handled by a 2TB Team Group NV5000 M.2 SSD utilizing PCIe Gen 4 speeds, providing substantial capacity for multiple large game installations. Additional hardware features include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, standard Ethernet networking, and a Bitspower 240mm AIO liquid cooler designed to keep thermal levels under control.
Market Availability and Value Proposition
Priced at $2,549.99 following the $450 price reduction, the desktop represents an appealing value proposition within the current pre-built market segment. Retail tracking indicates that this system currently stands as the least expensive RTX 5070 Ti gaming computer available on Newegg, meaning inventory could deplete rapidly given the depth of the discount.
