Delta 2.0 Emulator Brings Sega Genesis and iPhone Duo Support
The popular Delta gaming emulator has received a major version 2.0 update, introducing support for Apple's foldable device, classic Sega titles, and a redesigned user interface.

Optimization for Apple's iPhone Duo
The Delta gaming emulator has been upgraded with a wide range of new features and support updates, highlighted by optimizations for Apple’s flagship foldable device. If you looked at the iPhone Duo and wondered how well it could emulate Nintendo DS games, this latest software release was designed with that exact scenario in mind.
According to Delta app creator Riley Testut, version 2.0 optimizes controller skins for every pose in both portrait and landscape orientations. Users can continue running split-view multitasking features alongside other applications, while folding the Duo automatically places emulated DS games into sleep mode, mimicking the behavior of closing physical hardware.
Sega Genesis Support and Custom Pokémon DLC
Along with foldable hardware support, Delta 2.0 brings full emulation capabilities for Sega Genesis games, accompanied by dedicated iPhone and iPad controller skins that recreate the appearance of the classic Genesis controller. Furthermore, the update introduces a DLC feature designed to add custom in-game experiences for classic titles.
Testut noted that this feature will support all mainline Pokémon games released for the Game Boy Advance. Developed entirely by the Pokémon ROM hacking community without the use of artificial intelligence tools, the first of these custom DLC packages is scheduled to launch soon, delivering rare Pokémon, event items, and more.
Experimental Gadgets and Custom Filters
The release also rolls out several experimental features, including compatibility with Epilogue’s GB and SN Operator gadgets. These physical accessories allow users to play legacy Nintendo cartridges directly on their supported iPhone or iPad hardware.
Another addition is Custom Filters, which alter the visual appearance of running games through filter overlays. Players can select from default options, such as a CRT-inspired look, or import their own custom filters to replicate the look and feel of original hardware displays.
Liquid Glass UI Overhaul and Global Availability
The entire user interface of the application has been overhauled to align with Apple’s Liquid Glass design language. The redesigned UI adapts seamlessly across various screen sizes on iPhones, iPads, and the iPhone Duo, presenting default artwork with a clean, glassy aesthetic. Additional interface enhancements include animated controller skins, third-party design compatibility, and dedicated pages for recent and favorite titles within the game library.
In addition to gameplay improvements, Delta is introducing global support for in-app purchases through a new "Become a Patron" option. Crucially, Delta 2.0 marks the app's official debut on the EU App Store, making the emulator available globally alongside AltStore PAL in supported regional marketplaces.
