Natura Unveils $99 Smart Ring to Summon AI Agents

Introduction to the Interface Smart Ring

Hardware and AI startup Natura has announced the launch of Interface, a new smart ring designed specifically for the era of AI agents. Priced at an introductory $99, the wearable lets users summon artificial intelligence with a press of a finger to capture thoughts, complete tasks, and control connected devices without needing to reach for a phone.

The company was founded by Carlo Edoardo Ferraris, who previously established tech accessories manufacturer Rolling Square. After years of developing consumer hardware, Ferraris became convinced that rapidly advancing voice and AI technology required a brand-new interface that allows individuals to request what they want as naturally as they would ask another person.

AI Integration and Daily Use Cases

At launch, the Interface ring is built to connect with a diverse range of third-party AI agents and applications, including Claude, ChatGPT, Meta's Muse, Instinct, and Grok Bot. Users who rely on multiple systems can assign specific workflows to different agents, such as asking Claude to write code or requesting that Instinct handle a reservation.

Natura envisions numerous everyday use cases for the device. For instance, a user might ask the ring to track a morning run, check their daily schedule upon waking up, reorder household supplies while in the shower, or turn off the television and set an alarm while falling asleep. Agent responses can be delivered through connected headphones, an iPhone Live Activity, or directly via the NatureOS app.

Health Tracking and Hardware Specifications

Alongside its core focus on artificial intelligence, the ring doubles as a health tracker. The wearable monitors metrics such as heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, daily movement, step counts, distinct sleep stages, and skin temperature over time.

According to the startup, the device features a battery life capable of lasting between six to 12 days on a full charge depending on usage, and takes approximately 100 minutes to fully recharge. Ferraris noted that manufacturing costs are comparable to established alternatives in the smart ring market due to shared component usage, though Natura chose a lower initial pricing strategy to lower the barrier to entry and drive widespread user adoption.

Pricing Strategy and Availability

Preorders for the Interface ring are expected to open next month, with official shipping slated for either December or January. While the device initially launches at $99 to build early demand and usage, Natura plans to introduce a $9 monthly subscription fee following an initial three- to six-month free period.

Ferraris acknowledges that personal AI adoption is currently concentrated primarily among technology professionals, but he anticipates that most people will utilize personal AI agents within a year. The company believes that the form factor of a ring serves as a seamless extension of the user, enabling constant accessibility that could eventually replace screen-based interactions for many routine computer tasks.
