Global Availability and Platform Access

Google has announced the global launch of Gemini 4 Argon, its newest frontier artificial intelligence model. The system is designed to tackle complex, real-world workloads and deep work across various industries, including coding, finance, legal, cybersecurity, and science. Developers and enterprise users can access the model through the API in AI Studio and the Gemini platform, while Google AI Ultra subscribers gain access via Google Antigravity. Additionally, Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers can utilize the model directly within the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search.

Performance and Benchmark Results

According to Google, Argon outperforms other frontier models across multi-step domain benchmarks due to its depth and precision. The model has claimed the #1 ranking on the Vals Index, a metric that evaluates model performance across critical economic sectors such as tax work, legal, coding, and finance. At launch, the model is priced at an introductory rate of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with a 95% discount offered on cached input tokens.

Engineering and Enterprise Applications

Internal teams at Google and various enterprise partners have already deployed Argon to address demanding engineering challenges. Software engineers utilizing Argon within Google Antigravity reported increased agentic code submissions by more than 35% while simultaneously reducing code rollbacks by nearly a third. Notable projects include refactoring legacy codebases within the Chromium project, optimizing open-source quantum chemistry packages like xTB, and speeding up open Gemma models via vLLM inference optimization.

Visual Capabilities and Spatial Reasoning

Gemini 4 Argon introduces major enhancements in spatial reasoning, mathematical precision, and visual coding compared to previous Gemini models. Utilizing slash commands and multi-agent loops with custom skills in Antigravity, users have prototyped complex 3D visualizations, interactive animations, and high-fidelity games rendered directly in the browser. The model has demonstrated the ability to autonomously sculpt architectural complexes in Blender, build playable mini-racing games, and even construct a 3D ray-tracing engine using pure Python.

Professional and Scientific Workflows

Beyond coding and visual design, Argon combines frontier reasoning, deep visual perception, and expanded domain knowledge to support high-stakes professional workflows in legal, finance, and science. The model is built to communicate more directly with less hedging, avoid unnecessary repetition, and skip clichés. Enterprise customers and startups participating in the early access program have leveraged Argon for deep multimodal document comprehension, longitudinal data analysis, and synthesizing massive datasets—such as combining Airborne LiDAR scans, GIS vectors, and CAD drawings to reconstruct historical 3D models of archaeological sites.
