Pre-Orders and Availability
Pre-orders for Nvidia's new RTX Spark devices are officially underway, with hardware scheduled to start shipping on Friday, October 16. Major brands including Asus, Microsoft, Lenovo, HP, and Dell have joined the rollout, introducing a wide array of new computing options for consumers and professionals alike. Additional devices, such as small form factor desktops, are slated to become available following the initial launch period. Further details are available from Tom's Hardware in the original source material.
Retailers like Best Buy have opened limited lineups for pre-orders, ranging from entry configurations to high-end mobile workstations. For example, buyers can secure devices starting with the Asus ProArt P14 with 24GB of memory for $2,599, scaling up to options like the new Surface Laptop Ultra with 48GB of memory for $3,999. Shoppers looking to scale up to the maximum 128GB of memory capacity offered by the RTX Spark platform will need to explore alternative purchasing channels.
Asus and HP Offerings
Asus has made its ProArt P16 available directly through its web store with either 64GB or 128GB of unified memory, starting at $4,499.99 for the 64GB configuration. Upgrading the 16-inch laptop to 128GB of unified memory alongside 2.0TB of storage brings the total price to $6,999.99. The ProArt P16 features the RTX Spark chip combining a 20-core Grace CPU and a Blackwell GPU.
Meanwhile, HP has introduced two distinct models to its direct web store: the 14-inch HP OmniBook X 14 and the 16-inch HP OmniBook Ultra 16. Both machines support unified memory tiers up to 128GB, as well as 64GB, 48GB, 32GB, and 24GB configurations. The OmniBook X comes in at $5,109, while the OmniBook Ultra runs $5,309, both equipped with 1TB of storage. Both HP portables feature a 3K OLED touch display running at a 120Hz refresh rate and support up to 2TB of storage capacity.
Microsoft Surface and Retailer Options
Microsoft's newly announced hardware lineup highlights the platform's capabilities with the new Surface Laptop Ultra. This 15-inch machine incorporates the RTX Spark chip and supports up to 128GB of unified memory. Alongside direct availability from Microsoft, configurations are also listed through select distributors like B&H, though high-memory configurations appear temporarily exclusive to first-party channels, which may impact third-party shipping timelines.
For manufacturers like Dell and Lenovo, direct online store options are not yet live, leaving Best Buy as the primary pre-order destination. Best Buy features a broad selection of RTX Spark laptops topping out at 64GB of unified memory, with all orders aligned for the October 16 release date. Featured hardware in these channels includes the Dell XPS 16 and the convertible Lenovo Yoga 9n.
Understanding RTX Spark Configurations
Nvidia categorizes its latest SoC under the RTX Spark name, which actually encompasses a range featuring two distinct chip variants. The full-spec chip includes a 20-core Grace CPU and a 6,144-core Blackwell GPU. A lower-end configuration is also offered, featuring an 18-core Grace CPU and a 5,120-core Blackwell GPU.
Buyers are advised to inspect product descriptions closely, as listings generally refer to the processors simply as the RTX Spark N1X, requiring customers to check core counts manually. Current pre-order data indicates that the 18-core CPU and 5,120-core GPU variation is paired with laptops utilizing 24GB or 32GB of unified memory. Systems configured with 48GB and above utilize the full chip specification. Available memory options span 24GB, 32GB, 48GB, 64GB, and 128GB, while storage options commonly feature 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB configurations.
